Counselling Psychologist

Location: Johannesburg
Position Type: Part-time

Purpose of the Job

To provide therapeutic support to clients of Jewish Community Services including conducting individual therapy and family therapy.
To consult with all therapeutic staff across the Chev group as is required for clients, beneficiaries and residents.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Assessments
  • Individual Therapy
  • Play Therapy
  • Family therapy
  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
  • Assist with EAP sessions for staff of the organization for the Human Resources Department
  • Report writing
  • Assessment reports
  • Meet with stakeholders and relevant professionals internal and external to the organization as it pertains to the client, beneficiary or residents needs

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Masters in Psychology specializing in Counselling Psychology
  • Registered with the HPCSA
  • Relevant work experience as a Counselling Psychologist
