Client Liaison – Welcome Services

Purpose of the Job

We are seeking a compassionate individual who is passionate about customer service to fulfill the role of Client liaison. The successful candidate will be the first contact point of the community member who will assess the need and refer for emotional support, family support, protection services, process admissions for Chev Residential facilities, assess and refer for financial assistance with kindness and compassion.

Role and Responsibilities

Client engagement

  • To listen and understand the caller or persons request, need or challenge.
  • To refer for immediate crisis management to Chev Community Social Services or financial care assessment services for action or follow through as required
  • To explain and guide the client through the process of admission / service provision.
  • To facilitate admissions.



  • To assess all referrals to the Chevrah Kadisha requiring the organizations service offerings.
  • To conduct interviews (walk-ins or scheduled) and other related assessments as appropriate.
  • To collaborate with relevant stakeholders, professionals, other organization, Chevrah Kadisha departments and divisions, communal organizations and rabbi as referral sources.
  • Travel to clients homes to complete assessment when required



  • Following assessment, to refer to Chevrah departments, residential facilities or community resources.
  • To Receive, check and collate documentation from client and forward relevant information to Assessment team when received.
  • Once the person/ family been assessed for any of the Chev services and resources, to make recommendations, process with the person/ family and allocate and refer accordingly.



  • To implement structures and systems for the efficient administration, processing, and storing of documentation
  • To streamline processing and procedures

To capture all client information electronically.

  • To complete comprehensive assessment reports and request and obtain required supplementary documentation as part of the assessment process.
  • To Complete intake packs and contracts together with concerned persons as required.


Collaboration and liaison within the Chevrah Group

  • Facilitating a collaborative and mutually beneficial working relationship with all the key personnel in the Chevrah Kadisha who will be involved in assessment processes.
  • Liaising and arranging meetings with relevant internal divisions (e.g. care, medical, operations, finances, social services etc.) as necessary.
  • Providing required information, feedback and documentation to Chev entities and the person being assessed, requiring services or significant others.


Liaison with external affiliates / organizations

  • Facilitating a collaborative and mutually beneficial working relationship with affiliates and external organizations in the best interest of the community (and to minimize duplication of services), as well as to develop a rapport to ensure easy referral and facilitation of services.


Ad hoc tasks

  • Attending and participation in staff meetings, other relevant committees and meetings (inter- organizational).
  • Liaising with and reporting to the relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring assessments and referrals are in accordance with organizational care standards.
  • General administrative tasks

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Proven experience in an administrative role
  • Good knowledge of Jewish customs and traditions
  • Own vehicle and valid driver’s licence
