General Managers

Myrna joined Sandringham Gardens in 1992 and started by selling Golden Acres units off-plan. She has successfully run advertising, sales and fundraising for the organisation and is dedicated to serving the Jewish community and taking care of her residents at Golden Acres.

Esme joined the Chevrah in 2002 as Sandringham Gardens’ Nursing Manager. She completed her diploma in general, midwifery, psychiatric and community nursing in 1990 and qualified as an intensive nurse specialist in 1994. Prior to her joining the Chev she gained experience abroad and in a large Provincial Hospital and is presently also the secretary of the SA Gerontological Association.

Kay joined the Chevrah Group as OT Manager in 2005. She has worked in geriatric care facilities in the USA for 4 years and has extensive experience in the field of rehabilitation, both nationally and internationally. Kay is passionate about the benefits of holistic care and is dedicated to improving quality of life for older persons utilising an active ageing approach. She has a B Occupational Therapy degree (cum laude) as well as an LLB degree.

Lijahne is a Clinical Psychologist who joined the Chevrah in 2008. She did her BA, Honours and Masters in Psychology at Stellenbosch University. In 2006 she completed her internship at Sterkfontein Hospital and the following year did community service at the SA National Defence Force.

David Weber joined the Westpark cemetery team as a Funeral Director in 2010 after almost 20 years working as a volunteer doing Tahara and comforting the bereaved. David, an accountant by profession, comes from a family with a long history of community service.
