I am very passionate about the care of the elderly and the Chev has made it possible for me to fulfil my dream not by offering me just a job but a source for enrichment for my career growth and development.
The support that the company has been giving staff since the pandemic started has not gone unnoticed, food parcels, lunches, good wish messages for us and our families, workbooks for staff's children, gifts during the year end parties etc.

I’m the Resident Service Manager and oversee all the hair salons, tuck-shops, libraries, walks for the wards, front of house for the dining room amongst other duties.
The joy I get from making my residents smile is the most satisfying emotion I’ve ever experienced. The staff are caring and friendly and we have our own community of strength and unity when it comes to our resident’s health and welfare. I’m honoured to work for and with Chevrah Kadisha and it’s not just a home for our residents but I also feel at home working here.

I have been at the Chev for 14 years. I started when I was really young and have loved working here so much that I have no desire to be anywhere else. My department are responsible for events, chaggim, functions, and fundraising initiatives and we have pulled off some incredible things in my time here.
I love that this job is community based and every day is literally about improving people’s lives, and we have fun while doing it.

I have been working at the Chev since 2009. Back then I started off as a Caregiver, I have been given so many opportunities to grow and be promoted over the years. I have been able to study to better my life and the life of my family. I am now an Enrolled Nurse and my journey here continues.
The values of this organisation are amazing, the staff are treated as individuals and there is an amazing culture of diversity and inclusion. The residents have become my family and I am can’t wait to see what the rest of my journey here will bring.

The Chev has given me a platform to grow as a person. My manager’s encouragement has meant the world to me and has instilled confidence in me to do always do better. My hard work has been recongnize and I was recently promoted.
